A’Ibom Council Boss, Wife, Others Tasks Female Youths On Productivity.
Akwa Ibom female youths have been urged to renew the spirit of productivity among them.
The Executive Chairman, Uruan Local Government Area, Hon. Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong made the call during the Inauguration ceremony of Akwa Ibom female youth group, Uruan Chapter Executive and coordinators at the council secretariat, Idu, aimed at educating young girls and fighting against gender-based violence in the area.
Ekpenyong noted that the group decision to work together as a team was the best as it would help them tackle the abuse of female youths and ensure that any form of stigmatization against them was completely eradicated.
While assuring the group of his support to actualize her vision, he frowned against gender-based violence among young girls in the society and advocated that the group should reach out to youths, especially at the grassroots level where these crimes were being rampant.
Other guests who interacted with the group were the wife of the chairman, Mrs Ndifreke Iniobong, Wife of Chairman AKIRS, Barr. Mrs Nkereuwem okon, the Commissioner, Judiciary Service Commission, Dr. Itoro Etim, Mrs Anameti Okon, Councillor northern Uruan ward 2, Hon. Mfon Otu, tasked female youths to have other genuine businesses that could fetch them income rather than completely dependent on politics.
The brief ceremony was witnessed by the Vice Chairman Uruan LGA, Hon. Mrs Uduak Udoenang, Uruan PDP Chapter Chairman, Hon Sebastian Nkanga, State president, Akwa Ibom State female youths, Lady Esther Nta, and her executive members, Newly inaugurated Chapter president, Lady peace kokoette Eno and her exco, among others.
